Looking for a new art experience? Art Encounters programs, led by artists and inspired by art at the MFAH, focus on creating community. The way you participate is up to you. Take an active role, or simply observe. Open to all ages. Supplies are provided. February 20, 2026
Led by artist Jen Lam Parmer, participants are invited to explore form, function, and the art of jewelry-making by manipulating thin metal sheets and wire to create wearable pieces. Based on the exhibition The Jewelry of Dorothea Prühl, this Art Encounters session investigates shapes inspired by nature and reduces them to their simplest forms. Come experiment freely and take home ready-to-wear pieces, or add your sculpture to the community “garden.” ”To gain freedom and personality is crucial.
