Mothra - petite scalloped - copy
Hand etched brass sheet, 14k gold filled earwire
Big in size, but deceptively lightweight.
Thin brass sheet is cut and hand etched to mimic the shape of a large moth. Like a "moth to the flame", they are most likely guided by the moonlight to help them navigate their nocturnal existence. The moth is similar to a butterfly in that they both undergo metamorphosis; and as a symbol, it often means transformation, intuition, and guidance. Named after the classic 1961 Japanese film titled Mothra.
